  • Theme: Blue Surf Business Starter Website

Blue SurfThe Blue Surf Business Starter Theme is a perfect entry level business starter website with prices starting at £397 inc VAT.

This is a pre-built “out of the box website design”. What you see is what you get in regard to the layout and colours.

However, this is not a DIY solution – We personalize it to your requirements and once we have your content to slot in, it looks very much your own website.

    What Can I Change?

We will modify the following elements of the theme as part of the package in line with your preferences and requirements…

    What we will change

    What does the package include?

As you would expect with a high end specification, the feature list is strong:

    1. Crisp, Clear, Concise Web Design

This is a pre-built “out of the box website design”. What you see is what you get in regard to the layout and colours.

We personalise the base design to your requirements.

IMPORTANT: We don’t just hand you a finished site. We develop the site on a temporary test address, so you can check in and review the work throughout the entire process, providing us with your invaluable input.

    2. Website Coding, Structure and Build

Once the design of the site has been signed off, we begin structuring the site and creating the web pages.

w3cThe website is structured and the code written with the following in mind:

    • To be Intuitive and User Friendly.
    • To be Search Engine Friendly
    • To comply with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Coding Standards
    • To meet Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Guidelines

The web Business Starter package provides you with anything up to and including twelve web pages developed in our time.

If you need more pages than this, let us know or you can use the Content Management System that comes with the package to add an unlimited number of extra pages yourself – this system is geared toward giving clients the facility to maintain their websites without technical expertise (more on this below).

    3. Content Management System

CMSThe web Business Starter package comes with a full Content Management System (CMS). This is an online tool that we set up to enable non-technical staff to create, edit, manage and finally publish a variety of content (such as text, graphics, video, documents, menus etc.) on the website.

In a nutshell, the CMS will allow you and your staff to make unlimited changes to your web pages without any web programming expertise. It also allows you to add unlimited new pages.

    CMS2

Editing in the CMS is as easy as typing a letter in Microsoft Word.

We set up the site in the first instance (upto 12 pages) but you are then free to add as many as you like thereafter.

    Tutorial

We provide a telephone tutorial on using the CMS as part of the package. You’ll be amazed how easy it is for you to control the content of your site.

If you ever get stuck, we provide full lifetime telephone support with this package.

The CMS system was incredibly easy to use. I now feel comfortable that I can evolve our site as and when required. This will save us a lot of money in the long term as we won’t have to keep coming back for each and every change.

    4. Domain Name and Website Hosting

There are no hidden extras required to be up and running with your website. If you haven’t already registered a domain name and and/or don’t have web hosting then we will register a domain name (web address) and provide you with one years web hosting free of charge. You do not need anything outside this package to be up and running.

    5. Blog (optional extra)

BlogA Blog is a structured, shared on-line journal where site owners can post diary entries about their news, experiences and personal opinions. The standard build doesn’t come with a Blog, but we can add a Blog in as an optional extra. You can choose when purchasing the system whether to include a Blog or not.

The key advantages from a business perspective to having a blog are as follows:

    • You create regular changing content for your website. Websites with content that changes more regularly get the attention of search engines and get indexed more frequently, which means your hard work to improve your Search Engine Optimization gets noticed faster.
    • A blog with solid content about your business helps promote your status as an expert in that field. Establishing such a reputation online is a great way to drive traffic and business to your site.
    • Link creation. By having a reasonable number of links in each blog post back to relevant pages on your main website, you help to build your backlink strength and improve your search engine results. These links can also send traffic directly to your primary web pages, which in the end is the entire point of online marketing of any kind.

We can integrate a Blog as an optional extra with your website and provide facilities in your Content Management System to enable you to update and add content without web programming expertise.

    6. Google Places

More people search for businesses online than anywhere else, so it’s important to make sure your business listing can be easily found on Google and on Google Maps. This is where Google Places comes in.

One out of every five searches on Google relates to a specific location. Google Places literally puts your business on the map. It drives a lot of traffic relating to “localised” searches.

We will generate and upload your entry to Google Places as part of the package.

    7. Google Sitemap

SitemapsA Google sitemap is an extremely effective way to let Google know about all the pages on your website.

Rather than waiting/hoping for the automated Google spider to crawl through every page on your site, an XML file is created on your web space, telling the search engine about every page on your site in advance.

Each time you a change is made to the website, Google is notified and the Sitemap file is automatically updated. This slick automated process is built into your package.

    8. Yahoo! and Bing Sitemap

SitemapsYahoo! and Bing (from Microsoft) are the other major search engines after Google so we also use a sitemap as an effective way to let those search engines also know about all the pages on your website.

As with Google, Rather than waiting/hoping for the automated search spider to crawl through every page on your site, an XML file is created telling the search engine about every page in advance.

Whenever a subsequent change is made to the website, Yahoo! and Bing are notified and the Sitemap file is automatically updated. As with the Google Sitemap, this automated process is also built into your package.

    9. Google Analytics

Google AnalyticsGoogle Analytics is the premier statistics programme for showing how your website performs online. It shows you how people found your site, what search terms were used, the sites they came from, how they explored it, and how you can enhance their visitor experience.

Using Analytics as a research tool, you can tweak and hone your website, improving your website return on investment, increase conversions, and ultimately make more money on the web.

We set you up with a Google Analytics Account.

    10. UK Based Telephone Support

We have been established since 2002, are based in the UK and provide telephone support to all of our clients.
