A Brochure website is also known as a "static" website. A static website is a site where the content on each page is not powered by a database via a Content Management System. The content and design of brochure websites are manually updated by web-designers with HTML knowledge. They are called brochures because that is the nearest "real world" object these type of websites can be associated to.
