Hayes & Finch, The World's Finest Manufacturer and Supplier of Church Furnishings, vestments, communion articles, candles and supplies. Established in 1882 and still the market leader.

WestWindMoves were selected to redesign and build the website, after the Hayes and Finch Management Team discovered us on the Internet and liked our portfolio of websites. The fact that we had already developed other e-commerce websites rubber-stamped their decision.

Technology - How it was built...

XHTML
The code returned to the visitors web browser is written in XHTML. XHTML is the latest standard in web page coding.

ASP
The components of the site - web pages, products, databases are built using the server side scripting lanaguage - Active Server Pages (ASP)

Database
The site is database driven - all products information and general page content is stored in a backedn database. The relevant information is extracted from the database and displayed on the web pages where appropriate. The site uses an MS SQL Server database.

Secure Hosting
Payments are taken via a secure hosting server. Hayes and Finch take payments in various currencies from throughout the world.

CMS
A Content Management System (CMS) is in place to allow non-technical staff to update the website content without web coding knowledge.
