Web2 House provide facilities to buyers and sellers of properties for mutual benefit, maintaining a large database of properties throughout the UK and overseas. The website has only just been launched, so sellers can currently list properties totally free of charge.

WestWindMoves were selected to build the website, after previously developing successful websites for the same client.

Technology - How it was built...

XHTML
The code returned to the visitors web browser is written in XHTML. XHTML is the latest standard in web page coding.

ASP
The components of the site - web pages, products, databases are built using the server side scripting lanaguage - Active Server Pages (ASP)

Database
The site is database driven - all property information and general page content is stored in a back end database. The relevant information is extracted from the database and displayed on the web pages where appropriate.

Paypal IPN
Paypal IPN is integrated within the site - Paypal is used to securely process the orders taken on the website with regard to credit/debit card details. Once Paypal has approved the transaction, Staff are automatically notified that the transaction was succesful and also the details of the ordered goods.

CMS
A Content Management System (CMS) is in place to allow non-technical staff to update the website content without web coding knowledge.
